Michu set for Swansea exit

Swansea City could sell Michu for as little as £4m this summer, .

The one-time Spain international, who excelled for the South Wales outfit during his first season in the Premier League, spent last year on loan at Napoli though he made just five appearances and failed to score.

After arriving at Swansea from Rayo Vallecano, the 29 year old scored twenty-two goals in forty-three appearances in all competitions during the 2012/13 campaign, helping them to success in the League Cup, scoring in the 5-0 win over Bradford City in the final.

However, he struggled with injury the following season and ended up playing second fiddle to Wilfried Bony, who has himself now moved on to pastures new.

He has two years remaining on his current deal with the Swans, …

Vidal: I was right to turn down Bayern

Juventus star Arturo Vidal believes that he made the right decision when turning down an approach from Bayern Munich in 2011.

The Chile international rose to prominence at Bayer Leverkusen in the 2010-11 season, scoring 10 Bundesliga goals as they finished the campaign in second, above Bayern.

The 26-year-old was subsequently targeted by the Bavarians, but Vidal turned down their advances to join Juventus instead.

He was forced to watch on last season as the Germans stormed to the UEFA Champions League crown, although for his part Vidal has helped Juve to back-to-back Serie A titles.

And he does not regret his decision for one minute, hailing the influence Juve coach Antonio Conte has had on his career.

Vidal told Gazzetta dello Sport: I have never regrette…

Brighton star Knockaert reveals battle with depression

Anthony Knockaert revealed depression made it mentally impossible for him to perform in the Premier League last season as the Brighton and Hove Albion star opened up about his mental health struggles.

Knockaert has become a fan favourite since arriving from Standard Liege two years ago, helping Brighton gain promotion to the Premier League in 2016-17.

The 26-year-old Frenchman was key to Brighton s promotion, though Knockaert struggled to reach those lofty heights last term with three goals in 33 appearances.

Knockaert – whose father died in November 2016 – is back to his best on and off the pitch this season, and the winger encouraged others to seek help if they are struggling with depression or mental health issues.

Debut goal doesn´t feel right – Czech hero Ondrasek

Zdenek Ondrasek admitted he is still coming to terms with the mind-blowing moment of scoring the winning goal against England in his first international appearance for the Czech Republic.

Debutant Ondrasek, 30, was the hero in Prague as the Czech Republic came from behind to boost their hopes of automatic qualification for Euro 2020 with a 2-1 victory on Friday.

The Czech s moved level with England atop Group A having played an extra game than their star-studded opponents with three rounds remaining.

Ondrasek replaced Patrik Schick after 65 minutes with the game level at 1-1 and the striker could barely believe he had scored the winner against the 2018 World Cup semi-finalists.

I think it still doesn t feel right, I m happy that I scored, but I don t fee…

Son shows faith in Conte ´because he´s a winner´

Son Heung-min has defended Antonio Conte s principles following recent criticism aimed the Tottenham head coach s way for recent results.

Diego Costa s 18th of the season arrived five minutes into the second period and Manuel Lanzini s stoppage-time consolation gave the illusion of a tight contest at London Stadium.

Antonio Conte s side are 10 points clear of Tottenham in second, while Manchester City will aim to cut that lead to a slightly less imposing eight by winning their game in hand at home to Stoke City on Wednesday.

Fiorentina 2 Inter 1: Babacar scrambles late winner as three see red

Khouma Babacar s scrambled late winner earned Fiorentina a 2-1 victory over Inter to take control in the race for Serie A s final Champions League qualification place.

Substitute Babacar turned in a rebound after Samir Handanovic fumbled a shot by former Inter striker Mauro Zarate, with Borja Valero having headed in La Viola s leveller in a match that saw three red cards produced by referee Paolo Mazzoleni late on at Stadio Artemio Franchi.

After Alex Telles made an early goalline clearance, Inter, who ended the game with nine men, took an undeserved lead in the 26th minute through Brozovic, the Croatian neatly finishing off a precise pullback by Rodrigo Palacio.
